Structure

The unit is structured around five scientific domains (Biocatalysis ; Physiology and Microbial Metabolism PM² ; Microbial Systems and Bioprocesses MSB ; Separation, Oxidation, Hybrid Process ; Transfer, Interface, Mixing TIM)  and three nationally accredited platforms (Combinatory engineering and high throughput screening of enzymes ; Transcriptome-biochips ; Metabolomics-fluxomics).

This structure has the advantage of maintaining critical mass in the chosen domains while retaining a high degree of interactivity between disciplines, favouring the emergence of multi-disciplinary projects, notably within the key areas of white biotechnology, environment and food safety.
